About Maple Manor Furniture

Maple Manor Furniture started with a familiar problem. When our founder first furnished their own home, every well-known high-street and online name seemed to land in one of two places: expensive and still not built to last, or cheap and honestly not worth having delivered. Chipboard and veneer dressed up in solid-wood photography, sold at solid-wood prices. Maple Manor exists to be the alternative — furniture that's actually built the way it looks, priced without the traditional showroom mark-up.

Right now, that means a focused range of solid mango wood furniture — real wood grain, marble accents, brass hardware. As the range grows, the materials will grow with it; what won't change is the standard every piece has to meet before it earns a place in the shop.

What We Do

Maple Manor Furniture is a UK-based furniture store built around one standard: real craftsmanship, not the appearance of it. Today, the range centres on solid mango wood, paired with marble tops and brass hardware where it earns its place — we call the overall look Warm Organic Modern, Scandinavian simplicity with softer, rounded edges, built for homes that want calm without going cold or clinical. As we bring in new materials and product lines, that standard is what stays fixed — not the material list.

You'll find console tables, bedside tables, chests of drawers and more across the range — every piece chosen because it earns its keep in a real UK home, not because it photographs well and nothing else.

A Note on the Wood

Mango trees are grown for fruit, not timber. Once a tree's fruit yield drops off — commonly after around 15 years — it's felled and replaced with a new one, and the wood becomes available for furniture instead of being burned or left to rot. Every piece we sell starts as a tree that had already done its main job, not one cut down specifically to make furniture. It's also a much faster-growing, faster-renewing wood than the slow hardwoods — oak, teak — that traditional furniture leans on.

It's also why no two pieces are quite identical. Grain, colour and the odd knot shift naturally from tree to tree — we treat that as part of the character, not a flaw to sand away.

How We Source & Ship

Here's the honest version: we don't run our own workshop or warehouse full of stock. Our partners work directly with artisan makers who hand-build each piece from genuinely solid materials — not flat-pack composites — and we ship straight from them to you. No showroom overhead, no chain of middlemen each adding their own margin.

The trade-off is honesty, not corner-cutting: it's why we can also offer made-to-order customisation on selected pieces, adjusted to your specification, rather than pretending everything comes off one factory line.

What You Can Expect

Free UK delivery on the vast majority of postcodes (a short list of remote areas carry a courier surcharge at checkout — see Shipping & Returns for the full list), and 14 days to return anything that isn't right. If something arrives damaged, we cover the return in full — no argument, no restocking fee.

Solid wood ages well rather than wearing out — the grain and tone deepen over the years instead of just looking tired, which is more than the chipboard and veneer furniture that started this whole idea can say for itself after one house move.
